Gaudí was a Catalan architect born in Reus Spain on June 25, 1852. He was distinct form all the other architects of his time for his characteristic eccentric style.
Located at Passeig de Gràcia No. 92 is the Casa Milà better known as La Pedrera (one of my favorite buildings by Gaudí), an apartment building built between 1906 and 1910 by Antonio Gaudí in the city of Barcelona for the Mila family. This is the final example of Gaudí’s civil architecture. La Pedrera displays the extremely creative characteristics of Gaudí’s work, from its functionality and decoration to its construction.
Not only did Gaudi pay tremendous attention to detail in his architecture, but he also showed stunning elements of blacksmith and tile work.
